Connecticut Tooling and Machining Association (CTMA)

CTMA was founded in 1943 as a founding chapter of the NTMA. It has prospered as an organization dedicated to supporting the professionalism and continuous improvement of its member companies. CTMA members, the owners and managers of contract tooling and machining companies in Connecticut, represent some of the finest shops in the U.S. CTMA's mission is to lead its membership of innovative tooling and machining companies toward superior competitiveness and profitability by being a comprehensive resource for information, education, training and association services.

Founded in 1913, this association provides services and networking to the manufacturing sector in the region. The association boasts a diverse membership including firms in the fields of electronics, pharmaceuticals, instrumentation, information systems, consulting, metalworking, gas and electric utilities, banking, insurance, and education.

Smaller Manufacturers Association (SMA)

Founded in 1949, the Smaller Manufacturers Association of Connecticut serves the interests of small manufacturing firms in all facets of their business, providing resources to help Connecticut's smaller manufacturers thrive. The major objective of the Association is to facilitate communications among its members for their mutual benefit, accomplished through monthly dinner meetings and direct communication with members. Recognizing its commitment to the community, the Association spearheads the annual School-to-Career Manufacturing Symposium that "plants the manufacturing seed" with the region's youth in grades 6-12. Additionally, the Association recognizes a "student of the month" at its monthly dinner meeting and participates in awards programs at the region's high schools.
