With defense contracts in place until 2037 at Electric Boat (Groton), as well as contracts for United Technologies and Sikorsky Aircraft, there is an increasing demand for model makers, industrial designers, machinists, quality control inspectors, logistics managers, machinery and industrial electronics technicians. Beyond the mega-contracts, there are available positions along the supply chain to support these contracts as well as existing advanced manufacturing companies. As a region founded on manufacturing, we are embracing these new opportunities in high-precision production. New Haven Promise New Haven Promise Scholarships cover whatever tuition expense remains after federal and state government grants, up to $10,000 a year over four years — that’s $40,000!
